Philippe & Partners and Dacheng Law Offices enable partnerships

Dacheng Law Offices was founded in 1992 and has become one of the first and largest partnership law firms in China. Apart from its headquarters in Beijing, Dacheng has 35 local offices located all over the country ; the firm has also set up 7 overseas offices, including Chicago, Paris, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York, Singapore and Taiwan. There are currently over 3,010 lawyers and staffs working for Dacheng Law Offices.

The firm has notably developed an in-depth knowledge of all business law aspects, that allows it to deliver optimal services to their clients, in both the international and domestic markets.

Selected as "National Model Law Firm" of 2005-2007 by the All-China Lawyers Association, Dacheng Law Offices has now stepped into the forefront to the legal profession in China, ranking as one of the top law firms in terms of the number of lawyers, market share, reputation, and quality and range of legal services provided (1).

Philippe & Partners' initiative to visit and meet some of Dacheng's partners both at their office in Shangaï and at their headquarters in Bejing last April, encountered precisely the firm's concern to develop long-term strategic alliances with foreign law firms.

The issues of investment regulation, cross-border trade issues, anti-dumping disputes and cross-border dispute resolution shall be the first topics for enabling collaboration between us.

We feel consequently very proud and honored to appear in the last issue of Dacheng Cross-border trade and investment newsletter as one of Dacheng's global partners abroad.

Dacheng Labor law team is also kindly allowed us to publish their monthly newsletter via our website. Please find attached the last two issues that are respectively focusing on :

-May 2012 : Overtime work management by Chinese companies

-June 2012 : Administrative draft provisions on special working hours, that have been opened to comment on since the beginning of May
