The European Commission: Impending expiry of anti-dumping measures against monosodium glutamate from China

On 1 March 2013, the European Commission issued the notice of the impending expiry of anti-dumping measures on monosodium glutamate from China. The initial investigation started on 5 September 2007 and the definitive measures were taken on 2 December 2008 by the Council Regulation (EC) No 1187/2008, with anti-dumping duty rates ranging from 33.8% to 39.7%. The anti-dumping measures will expire on 3 December 2013 unless a review is initiated. The EU producers may lodge a written request for a review. This request must contain sufficient evidence that the expiry of the anti-dumping measures would be likely to result in a continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury.
